Oh My Goodness..Current!! The first time I visited Current I was so impressed that I came back two more times within the week!! I have never had such crispy and delicious fish and chips ever in my life.. and I have eaten fish and chips from Seattle to London. I have had Gordon Ramsay’s fish and chips!! and these were better. Seriously.

The bread plate was something I had never seen before, butter smeared on the edge of the plate and salted for dragging your bread through. The butter was light and creamy and the bread, warm and freshly baked..super creative plating!!

Dark green salad with parmesan cheese.. yum!

These crab cakes were amazing..I usually don’t love crab cakes at restaurants but these had the right amount of seasoning and were perfectly crisp..

After my time in New Orleans I like to order grits whenever I can, as usual, Current did not disappoint. The grits were creamy and well seasoned and the shrimp was perfectly cooked.

And for dessert..creamy tahini gelato with a cookie..delicious.

Another epic dessert from Current, a Yuzu Posset with a Rosemary Gel, an Olive Oil Powder and a Sesame Tuile. This dessert was the most creative dessert I have ever eaten.. so many unique elements.

I can’t wait to visit SLC again soon and my first stop will be delicious food at Current Fish & Oyster!!
