John Hoyle was married first to Hannah Ashworth, connecting the family to another surname found abundantly in the Haslingden area. His second wife was Sarah Riley, a less common surname; but the family lived in the same location as John and Hannah, and later, John and Mary.
The hope is that by creating this group, descendants of the various families may connect with each other, share family stories and data, and become familiar with our cultural heritage in Lancashire.

Many of the religious rites for the Hoyle family were performed at St. Mary and All Saints in Goodshaw. Click here to read some of the history.
